Too small fit/puffy and bulky

"I had high hopes for these and was unfortunately let down. The style is cute but when i tried them on the shoe itself is very puffy and oversized. Felt like i was wearing clown shoes and strangely enough, they are not true to size and were small for me. I ordered a 1/2 size larger and they were still too small. Also not a fan that the tongue of the shoe is velcro. I understand this is what makes it easy to monogram, but it just felt cheap and not sturdy. Wish i could return but cant."

What is the fit like width wise? I would hate to order them and they be too narrow.
These do not come in a wide fit. They are a standard fit.
Are they slip on shoes?
